Artwork Submission Form
Thank you for choosing Sign1. We are dedicated to providing a seamless experience. It's imperative to receive creatives in the follow format to ensure there are no additional fees. If you are submitting artwork, please follow the instructions below to ensure accurate reproduction & no overages.
Template
- Before designing, please make sure your template is correct and design each piece at 100%. Adobe Illustrator's latest version allows for larger art boards.
- It’s a common problem for designers to pull from standard templates that do not match the actual vehicle.
- If you have any questions, please contact us before designing.
- Rebuilds or adjustments will be charged on an hourly basis.
- Make sure to consider non-printable areas when designing. For example, door handles, emblems, and non-metallic surfaces.
- If you want Sign1 to create an accurate template, please provide vehicle VIN number (usually located on the dashboard or inside the driver’s door)
Resolution
- If you are using raster images or designing in Photoshop, images need to be built at 120 DPI at 100%.
- Low resolution images can be missed in prepress and could result in poor image quality.
- Interpolated images are not caught by prepress.
- It’s possible that 72 DPI images MAY work, however, we can’t ensure the replication quality.
Color Mode
- Please design using CMYK. Although RGB can produce more vibrant colors, in cases where supplemental prints are required, there could be color-related issues.
- If you are using PMS colors, please make sure to use colors that translate well to CMYK.
- If images are submitted in RGB, additional fees may apply if reprints are needed for color matching.
Bleed
- Make sure to include a 4” bleed on all sides.
File Format
- Make sure to provide native files (PSD, AI, or Sign Lab). We can accept EPS files made from other programs, but we can’t guarantee color matching.
- Convert all fonts to outlines
- Properly layer graphics files
- 1 layer for vehicle outline and non-redesign related masks that conceal bleeds
- 1 layer for each side of the vehicle. For example, if you have a hood, left-side, right-side, and back. You should have a layer for each.
Transparency
- Please make sure to use best practices when applying transparency effects and render effects when possible.
Preflight Timeline
- Once file(s) are received, we will do our best to preflight the files within 3-5 business days.
